Our Mission

The mission of the Holly Cranston Memorial Fund is to assist local families whose special needs are not being met by traditional sources of assistance. As a charity with limited resources, the Fund looks for situations where its involvement will make a direct impact on the lives of those it assists. Whether it is purchasing a wheelchair for a needy child, paying for horseback riding therapy for a physically challenged teenager, or funding respite care, our goal is to provide that extra assistance which can make a special family’s life a little easier.

The Fund

The Holly Cranston Memorial Fund is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation. Your donations are tax-deductible and directly support our mission.

Our programs provide educational scholarships for high school students preparing for careers in assisting children with special needs. In addition, our fund has helped build a special needs playground, has assisted in local infant programs and has provided funding for many people and programs in our communities. We continue to look for ways in which our fund can make a positive impact and a difference in people’s lives.

About Holly

Holly was a remarkable young girl. Throughout her life, Holly struggled with congenital myasthenia (a condition that causes muscle tone disorder) and seizures. At the time, Holly's parents exhausted every medical and therapeutic option available to them in order to provide their loved one care and comfort during these trying times. On February 5, 2002, a cold unexpectedly took young Holly from us. It was then that we learned Holly taught us two valuable things in life: love and hope. She taught us that there were many forms of nontraditional medicine and therapy which had helped her live a better life. She taught us that when we all get involved in one way or another, we can make a difference to those in need.
